As an announcement to the public in general, we are glad to inform you that the Mexican guitarists duo Rodrigo y Gabriela will perform for the first time in Toronto at The Phoenix Concert Theatre, 410 Sherbourne Street, on Friday, March 5, 2010, 19:30pm.
Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero have been playing guitar together for more than fifteen years. They have played in the UK, Australia, South Africa, America, Europe and Japan. Also, Rodrigo & Gabriela have shared stage with establish music exponents like Carlos Trujillo from Metallica and Al Di Meola in Paris (http://www.myspace.com/rodrigoygabriela)
Rodrigo and Gabriela have a new album, entitled 11:11, whose title track was co-produced with John Leckie. The album was mixed by Colin Richardson; famed in the rock world for his console work with Slipknot and Trivium. The album is the result of their new recording studio at the Mexican headquarters, and shows their gratitude and celebration for the great musicians who have inspired them along their path.
