Travel document A passport is strongly recommended. However, citizens of this country may enter Mexico presenting their original birth certificates (assuming they were born in the same country) plus valid-official photo I. D.; or citizenship card; or certificate of naturalization.
--Minors-- As minors frequently lack of valid-official photo I.D., the Consulate strongly recommends obtaining a passport. The passport will act as proof of nationality and identity in this case.
Visa Citizens of this country are visa-exempted Mexican migratory form (tourist card) A tourist card is needed to enter the country. This document usually obtainable during the flight to Mexico and is always available at the Mexican point of entry.
Letters of parental consent are not longer required by the Mexican migratory authorities. Therefore, getting one would be optional (you also need to verify with the airlines and local migratory authorities about their own requirements). When choosing to obtain a parental letter of consent, the document could include picture, name, place and date of birth of the minor, as well as information about the parents (names, passport numbers and contact information)
