REQUIREMENTS FOR BUSINESS PERSONS

Requirements for Canada Citizens:

I.- Visiting Mexico for business purpose for less than six months

Visa
If you are visiting Mexico as a business person, you are visa-exempted

Required Documents for Admission:
A.- Valid passport.
B.- An original letter from the sending company. The letter must contain the following information: activities to be conducted by the traveler; duration of the trip(s); full legal name and contact information of Mexican company(ies); and also confirm that the visitor’s salaries and expenses will be paid by the sending corporation.
C.- A letter, in Spanish, from the Mexican company. The letter must confirm all the information stated by the sending company, like what is the reason for the foreigner to travel to Mexico and who is covering the traveler's saleries and expenses.
D.- A migratory form (FMTTV), which is usually provided during direct flights to Mexico, and it is always available at the Mexican point of entry


II.- Visiting Mexico for business purpose for more than six months

Visa
If you are visiting Mexico as a business person for over 6 months, you need a visa (FM3)

Required documents to obtain the visa (FM3):
A.- Submit, in person*, a completed application form.
B.- Valid passport.
C.- An original letter from the sending company and addressed to the Consulate General of Mexico in Toronto. The letter must contain the following information: activities to be conducted by the applicant; duration of the trip(s); the desired validity for the visa; full legal name and contact information of Mexican company(ies); and also state that the visitor’s salaries and expenses are being paid by the sending corporation.
D.- An original letter from the Mexican company, which must be in Spanish and addressed to the Consulate General of Mexico in Toronto. The letter must confirm all the information stated by the sending company, like exact activities to be performe by the applicant and who is covering the applicant's saleries and expenses.
E.- Two color photographs, passport-size, not older than 30 days, white background and uncovered face (no glasses). Automatic machine pictures are not accepted.
F.- Payment of corresponding fee.

Processing time: usually two business days.
Location and office hours (there is no need to make an appointment).
Cost: please check list of consular fees.

* You must collect the FM3 in person as well.
